We implement this in a series of five phases:
We review all job descriptions to ensure that each role is unique, well defined and communicates the expectations to the employee in a clear manner.
We collaborate with both managers and employees to Identify current or potential shortcomings in their performance and to address identified shortcomings for improved future performance outcomes.
We work with every manager to monitor the individual and collective performance of their teams based on the outlined expectations and in alignment with the business goals.
We use data collected during the monitoring phase to improve the performance of employees. This may require identifying and implementing training courses to help the employees improve their knowledge and performance on the job.
We carry out periodic evaluations to review the performance of every employee, establish their strengths and weaknesses, supply feedback, and set goals for future performance. This also aids in identifying training needs among both managers and employees.
We partner with the business owner or decision makers to establish a baseline in regards to the current state of the HR function
We develop a performance management framework outlining the specific HR processes to be implemented in order to improve employee performance.
We review the availability and format of key HR documentation and in the absence of such, we create the necessary documentation in line with best practice
We introduce the employees to the new or revised job descriptions and HR policies and processes.
Follow ups are conducted with employees on incomplete personnel files – Employees are provided with the list of missing information and a timeline for submission
